Spinifex Wines
A small Barossa winery near Nuriootpa crafting Mediterranean-leaning wines, including Grenache, Mataro and Rhone-style blends.
Spinifex Wines, led by Peter Schell, takes inspiration from the southern Rhone and Mediterranean, working with old Barossa vineyards to make textural, savoury wines. Alongside its signature Grenache and Mataro, the range includes blends, an esteemed white field blend and even traditional methode wines. The tasting room on Nuraip Road, Nuriootpa, opens Thursday to Saturday, and the wines are also poured at Artisans of Barossa on Vine Vale Road, Tanunda.
