A quiet eastern Barossa hamlet of old churches and dry-grown vines

Light Pass

A small heritage district on the eastern side of the Barossa, known for its Lutheran churches, pioneer farmhouses and old-vine vineyards.

Light Pass is a small rural district on the eastern flank of the Barossa, between Nuriootpa and the ranges. Settled by Silesian Lutherans, it keeps a scatter of historic churches, stone farmhouses and some of the valley's oldest dry-grown vineyards.

It sees few tourists, which is much of its appeal — a quiet pocket of working farmland and boutique cellar doors away from the main wine route.
