Mengler Hill Sculpture Trail

A short hilltop walking loop dotted with stone sculptures, beside the Barossa's most famous lookout.

Beside the Mengler Hill lookout — the postcard view down the whole length of the Barossa — winds a short trail studded with carved stone sculptures. The works were created on-site during a sculpture symposium and now sit weathering quietly among the native scrub.

It is an easy, free, family-friendly loop that pairs a gallery-in-the-open-air with one of the best views in South Australia. Bring a picnic, do the loop, then settle in at the lookout for the panorama.

Go at sunset and the whole valley below turns gold.
