Scenic flights over the patchwork of the valley
For a completely different read on the valley, Barossa Helicopters lifts visitors over the whole patchwork - the geometric vine rows, the township clusters, the gleam of the Whispering Wall reservoir and the rumpled green of the eastern ranges.
Flights run from a base near Rowland Flat, from short scenic loops to longer charters that can include winery landings and high-country circuits. From the air the structure of the Barossa - river, road, vine and hill - suddenly makes sense.
