Schulz Butchers

A fifth-generation Barossa butcher in Angaston famous for its mettwurst and traditional German-style smallgoods.

Smallgoods are central to the Barossa table, and Schulz is one of the names that locals trust. The Angaston shop has been curing and smoking its way through the valley's German traditions for generations, turning out mettwurst, bung fritz, lachsschinken and bacon that turn up on cheese boards and in kitchens across the region.

It's a working butcher rather than a polished tourist stop, which is exactly the point. Drop in to build a picnic, grab some mettwurst for the road, or simply taste the smallgoods that the valley's farmers markets are built on.
