Penrice Lookout
A high vantage point above Angaston taking in the eastern Barossa, its vineyards and the ranges beyond.
Up behind Angaston, the country rises toward the Eden Valley and the views open right out. Penrice and the surrounding heights look back across the patchwork of the eastern valley, a less-visited counterpoint to the busier southern lookouts.
It's a good detour to tack on to a day spent at the Angaston end of the valley, especially in late afternoon when the light rakes across the vines.
